It’s only been 1063 days…

Hi guys.

Never done a trip report before…! But considering the situation I thought it may be useful. I hope I am doing it right!

Flying LHR -> MCO on Tuesday 9th November, one of the first handful of flights to get out of here to sunny Florida.

It’s myself and my husband travelling. Usually we also have my parents in tow but we booked this at short notice and we’re also due to go with them in May, so they’re staying home.

We managed to very easily do our pre departure Covid test with Breathe Assured on Sunday. The lady was lovely and the process was very clear. We had our certs before we finished the appointment.

Printed off all our paperwork - vaccine passport, attestation, Covid certificate and boarding pass before we left. Hopefully that’s the magic we need to get onto the plane.

Drove to Heathrow this evening (Monday 8th) to avoid any traffic issues and staying at the Premier Inn. Ran into a lovely couple in the lift who saw my Mickey bag and said ‘no prizes for guessing where you’re off too!’… they were heading to Orlando too… we had a quick chat with them so hi if you’re reading this… hope you had a lovely holiday!

Fingers crossed for a good sleep tonight, I never sleep very well in hotels tbh so here’s hoping!

I did not sleep well as expected, complete self fulfilling prophecy.. Combo of excitement, anxiety and the wine I had before bed I think!

Can some one let me know if I carry on my report in this thread or start a new one for each day?

There's no right or wrong with this. When I do my trip reports I usually start a new thread for each day, but there are plenty of Dibbers who like to continue in the same thread. Honestly, whatever works for you is fine as it's your trippie!
