The first record I had was bought for me by my mum it was Beatles for sale...Christmas 1964, I was 10, we had a family record player, mum actually bought it for my 17 year old sister but gave it to me to even up the presents...
First one I actually bought was Herb Alpert and the Tijuana brass band... goodness knows why...

The first one I had bought for me was Spitting Image The Chicken Song. I reckon I still know every word and I was only 5 when I got it 🤣

The first album I bought was The Smash Hits Poll Winners Party, not sure which year, probably 1988

To be honest we’d need to really go through our vinyl collection to decide what’s we bought as we have both our parents collections everything from Glen Millar Jim Reeves Elvis and onwards
And yes we play them frequently and can be caught dancing in the kitchen to some of the
Big band music I was brought up on our grandkids seem to love it=as well to dance too

The first single I had was Jack in a Box by Clodagh Rodgers - I would have been 10 so not sure if I'd have bought it myself!

I can't remember my first single but yep Beatles for sale was my first LP. Still have all my records but never play them now. Much quicker to get Alexa on it but do you know what, I think I'm going to get her to play that today! Thanks for the reminder.x
