According to the US Met Office, it has been a very wet start to August in Florida. Those that have missed the storms have been very lucky.

They say that this weekend will be dry’ish with scattered storms. Next week, wet pattern returns

We got back last week and definitely had more rain than we’re used to in August. It rained most afternoons/evenings, with thunder too. The boys were desperate for an evening swim but those plans were scuppered quite often with the threat of lightning. However, we were staying in a villa, not doing any parks so we just bobbed in and out of the villa when we had to.

We had quite a wet second week (1st week in August). We mostly managed to carry on although we did get drenched in Epcot one day and we just had to laugh st how wet we were but in the end we went back to our hotel. We didn’t mind the wet too much but when you tried to go into any attraction it was absolutely freezing.

On the other days we managed to work around the rain and often it’s a relief from the heat. But it can be disappointing when it starts to affect your plans.

We’ve here for 5 weeks and are just coming into end of 4th week. Weather definitely worse this week and very unlike anything we’ve had previously. Rain seems to have gone on for longer and started much earlier.
Sounds like it hasn’t been great at home either!

Every time we go in August it rains, even had a hurricane in 2016 and we were at the beach. Went July 2018 and It rained one day all day and that was it!

We went from 14th July to 3rd Aug and felt we had great weather. 2 days that were rainy but we just adapted our plans...it is a risk we all run going over in rainy season. Really feel for people who say it's puts a downer on their hols. Hope it gets better soon!

Yes same here we went 23 July - 6 Aug and missed the red hot days, but saying that I struggle with the suffocating heat and love A/C so don't mind too much.

We went last Aug and found we had a lot more rain than 2016. We went to AK several pms and rained every time. And at the water parks by mid pm would either rain or close as thunder around.

Worst period of prolonged rain we've experienced in Florida. Also a lot of it has been thunder and lightning.

What happened to the Florida I remember? 1 hour rain in PM. The rest of the day used to be hot and sunny.
