Just watched a YouTube clip of the opening. It looks crazy but what was very crazy to me was the young girl at 10:43 minutes delighted with her Porg that cost $49.99. The same size toy as what you get from one of those grabbing machines here in an arcade in the UK. Each to their own but shame on Disney for this exploitation!

You mean you've never spent the best part of £40 trying to get a toy from those damned grabbing machines for your kid to stop them going into a meltdown? Must be just me then.

Those Porgs are more than just cuddly toys. They're puppets and you can make their wings flap and mouth open. Probably still not worth $50 though. Mind you, you could say the same for most things at Disney. The food, the drinks, the parties, the merchandise, etc. It's all overpriced. This is nothing new.

Anyway, whilst you're here, would you like to buy a plastic stick for $55? It looks like Harry Potter's wand and has a shiny bit at the end...?

Wish my lad (21 yrs old!) wanted a $50 Porg, he geeked out and went for a near enough $200 light sabre.

He did get the gold token (gift card) as well, the cashier told him to load it with the light sabre money, then just pay for the light sabre straight away with it.

We must have been one of the last lot in yesterday with a group number as when we came out they'd stopped the restrictions. Didn't queue for any of the shops/ cantina or the rides though, that was all a bit crazy. Was enough for us to have been in there for opening day.

HS didn't seem as busy as we thought it would be, literally walked onto TOT even though it said 15 mins.

The coke bottles, while looking great...$6, bloody rip off. Bottled Coke products are expensive enough in Disney, but they are extortionate.

Was it a legacy saber from Dok Ondars? You said there was no queue for the shops, does that apply to buying the saber too?

Which one did he go for?
