I think there are great rides at both Disney parks and Universal parks. There are also mediocre rides at both too. They are both worth visiting to some degree.

I do think Universal tends to have slightly more screen-based rides whereas Disney tends to favour animatronics (or, at least, used to).

Whether one is better than the other will come down to personal preference (personally, I like both!). I don't know whether the OP will like Universal or not - only they can answer that one.

I love universal and IOA! We’ve done these parks far more than Disney - I’m a big Harry Potter fan and thought it was fab, my mum couldn’t Care less about the franchise and she loved it! Think she appreciated it more than me and my sister, she doesn’t like roller coasters so found the rides fantastic!
Wether it’s worth it is a different story... it’s an expensive day out at over $100 dollars a ticket and on a busy day you may struggle to get things done ! Even looking around the streets can be difficult ( this is from an experience of the week between Christmas and NYE - never again ). That being said if budget allows you should 100% do it!
