We rode yesterday. We were in Toothsome having a late lunch, looked at the app and the wait dropped to 90mins so we decided to go for it. We were done within an hour including a child swap. By far the best ride. We will definitely be keeping a close eye on the wait time over the next 3 days as we would love to do it again.

Here today, currently at 150mins not seen it much less & app says must be in the queue by 3pm as the ride will close earlier than the rest of the park
Edit : now 120mins Edit : ride closed due to rain. Wait time posted 90mins, It took about 1hr. Queued in the rain, rode in the driving rain but what an absolutely amazing ride. I think they have put together the best bits from each of the rides ive been on they have thought of everything. Absolutely AWSOME ! Edited at 04:48 PM. |

We were there last week of September - we were at the gates at 8:30 for a 9am opening, but we actually went straight to Jurassic Park (we had a private ride as everyone else was heading straight to Hogsmeade ) then joined the Hagrid's queue around 9:30 - the end of the line was down by the Mystic Fountain, and cast members were telling everyone it was a 2 hour wait *from the lockers* not from the end of the line. By the time we got to the lockers it was posted at 180 minutes, but we powered through.
There was one 15 minute gap towards the end of the line where the ride very briefly was down, but we were off the ride exactly 2 hours after we joined the line. Honestly I have never known a ride to be *more* worth the wait, it was fantastic. |

I thought onsite guests only were let into the park at 8am ... is that not the case now? Do you think there will be an express line soon for this ride or not?

We went on Monday and got there for park opening, only to find that Hagrids wasn’t open! It opened up about an hour after the park opened but the queue was huge, 180 minutes and it snaked past the hogwarts express.
We went back today and got to the park at about 11. The queue time was showing as 150 minutes but we were off within an hour and 5 minutes. Great ride! |

We roped-droped, got to IOA for 7am, for an hour they reminded everyone at the gate that US was open early, it didn't put anyone off and we were all there for Hagrids.
A tip: go the the far right turnstyle, you'll follow the path to the right anyway and those on the left will be behind you. Once they let you in, everyone briskly walks (runs) to Hagrids, they will funnel you into a queue system for Hagrids at the lost continent section of the park. We couldn't tell you anything about the queue as we didn't stop once, we walked right on and swaped over in the child swap room (which is small compared to Gringrots and Hogwarts). When we came out it was 120 minutes and after breakfast in the Three Broomsticks it was 210 minutes.

Got on today was at Islands of Adventure around 7.15am which was a bit too early. Was first at a turnstile and gates opened at 8.45. Got to ride in the 3rd set of cars but it was down for 20 minutes but what an experience well worth the effort. I would say be at the gates for 7.45am and turn right and walk briskly. By the time I got off at 9.30 the line was huge over 2 hours and stretching into the Lost Continent.
