This is interesting. I have degenerating discs in my spine which mean I can't stand still for long periods of time. I'm fine with a slow moving queue, but not for long queues where I'm standing still with nothing to lean on. I explained this to a CM at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom last year, and he happily granted me a DAS. He never mentioned using a wheelchair or scooter as an alternative.

Maybe I just got the right CM?

It's all down to the Cast Member

it also depends on how you described your needs

you may, or may not be issued a DAS next time, even if using the exact same words you used last time

it will depend on how busy the parks are, on how many DAS passes they have issued, and on so many undisclosed factors that it would be pointless to try and find a sensible general rule

the "policy" is "if your issues can be solved by mobility devices, then mobility devices it should be"
but, there is policy and real life
real life says "the Cast Member decides".

and, then lessons in life kick in, and lessons in life say "It never hurts to ask"
