Ticking the Boxes Aug 19 Day 2

Arrival
Magical express was fine, once we got going. We were both excited to be staying at Coronado springs. We knew we were not in the tower, but oh boy, it is a great place to arrive! We had arranged to meet with Beth (Fairy-tale shopper (but sadly after our trip (and not because of us) Beth took ill, and the business had to close)) to pick up our parcels. We had used Beth the previous trip and we greeted each other as friends. She had even bought us a wedding Christmas bauble as a gift! We quickly checked in and she came round with us to help take the groceries to our room. First impressions of Coronado were fab despite the torrential rain! We were soaked through. Thankfully we met a CM in a buggy who took us round quickly. BB had not stayed on site before, and we were both pleased with the studio room we had booked. I liked being on the first floor. It was clean and fresh and quiet.

As with most of us on arrival, we were keen to get food into us next. It was dusk, (8.30 ish) it had just finished raining, and we were happy to just pootle to the food court, stopping to take some photos on the way. The tower is at its best at night!

We knew that we could not manage the FPs so opted for chilling and getting prepped for tomorrow. I think I had pizza and BB tried to have ribs, but he couldn’t, so not a great start to food. It was definitely fuel this evening. We didn’t eat in the foodcourt again as it happened. Our meals being eaten at the right times went out of the window! We just wandered back through the connecting part of the tower,

past the snack shop, with our refillable cups, looked at the shop, just to get a feel for what was there. OK so I also bought a CSR pin as that was on my pre-approved purchase list (remember, I had a maximum budget -pah!). I have pins for each resort I have stayed in, and another for each year.
We also had a quick reminder of US coins! Anyone else have to remember what each looks like! We are grown adults! Honest!

It SO is! It has a Disney vibe, but is also just beautifully designed, it really felt luxurious.
