RPR Club level arrival day

I just wondered what other people would do in the scenario we had last year which we don’t really want to repeat if it can be helped, or if they have any other suggestions.

Our plane landed into MCO at 7pm and by the time we checked in to the RPR and got to our room it was 9pm.
Fast forward to a few days later and we realised that we’d paid CL for a day that we didn’t really use as we arrived rather late.
We’ve since checked the prices of the Hyatt at MCO and it’s roughly half the price of a night at RPR CL.

Would you in future if you had a similar flight arrival time book the Hyatt for the first night and then travel up to RPR early the next morning?

Thanks

Yes definitely have a cheaper night first. I’ve noticed we tend to do this so we usually stay somewhere cheaper at start of holiday.

Always go for a cheapo hotel on our first night, nothing dingy but clean and affordable. Up at 6 and at RPR before 7, sort our room and tickets, leave the bags with bell hop and then off to the parks for early doors. Back for lunch at club level and hopefully the room should be ready by then.
