New front door

We've had a quote today for a composite door - nothing fancy, £970 fitted. Is this about right? We do have a rectangular pane above our door too and that price is for a whole new frame.

Trying to decide if it's worth £400 more than a new uPVC door!

I do have other tradesmen coming tomorrow to give more quotes.

I think that's quite reasonable - I'm sure ours was about £1400!

Where do you live? Here in Staffordshire they are widely advertised at £800 fitted

My friend had had a up crush door fitted and painted it in frenchic paint - looks lovely. May be a cheaper option.

Yes we had composite front and back doors fitted in recent years and they were both about £1k.

Ignore the technology - both pic and composite are great. Go with what you like.
The prices seem fine, but really depends on what's in the frame - e.g. side glass etc.

This is what we've been quoted on. We're North Midlands. No side glass just the top panel

We got two quotes for a composite front door. A double glazing company quoted £1300 and a local trader found on Facebook quoted £1000. We’re West Midlands.

Haggle off the £70 and good to go.
