Cheap hotel Santa monica

Hi

We need a cheap hotel in Santa Monica for 1 night as a stop over. Has anyone got any tips? Will need parking.

Santa Monica is a fairly high cost area. Does it need to be Santa Monica, places will be cheaper in other areas around there.

Its about 10 minutes from the main Santa Monica high Street area on Santa Monica Boulevard

Santa Monica Motel

On the other side of Santa Monica, near the Olympic Boulevard Highway.

HI Los Angeles Santa Monica Hostel

Backpackers hostel, very clean and safe located 5 minutes walk from the beach and Santa Monica Pier

These are about the cheapest places you will find in the Santa Monica area.

We stayed in Marina del Rey a few years ago, which was certainly cheaper than Santa Monica (at the time). Another bonus is that if it for a stay after a flight into LAX, it's only about 10-15 mins drive.

We have also looked at hotels in the culver area, the super 8 by Wyndham. Has anyone stopped there? We just need an overnight stop before heading up to San Francisco.
