Virgin to end free Upper Class Chauffuer service

This announcement probably won't affect many of our DIBB members

but Virgin atlantic have announced that they are going to stop their Upper Class Chauffuer service. Qualifying bookings made up to the 30th June will be honoured.

So if you win the lottery and can afford to buy the most expensive ticket types on Virgin you only have a few weeks to make that booking - otherwise its the Tube, Taxi, Uber or Bus with the rest of us.

You can still use a CDC (a Merc from Tristar (now part of Addison Lee)) in London for � at a discounted rate (and earn miles) or you can book a CDC and pay with miles so still worth considering if using the LHR UC wing

They have been a bit hit and miss from Manchester for a few years anyway. Arriving late and sending one saloon car for 4 passenger with lots of luggage. Won�t miss it really
Emirates had similar problems up here when they used PCS but it�s been much better since they changed

I use them from time to time in London and to LHR they are fine but last time to Gatwick the vehicle was able to access the upper class ramp ! Bizarre

It was always a good deal to get a qualifying fare to Miami and the other in the group on cheaper fares as the CDC took us to Marco Island and back and to Orlando and back - worked out cheaper began any other option so I will miss them
