That’s crazy amounts of rain. We are in Polk County but haven’t seen any weather warnings. The rain over the last couple of days has certainly affected our plans though. We fly home on Tuesday so hopefully it won’t hang around for much longer.

We’re in Naples and it rained all day, from about 10am until about 8pm! Rubbish last day. Apparently it’s set like this for next few days. It also rained heavy yesterday afternoon for about 4 hrs.

Crazy isn't it. We are further up at Lovers Key and yesterday was grey cloudy all day. Managed to stay at the beach until 1pm and then back to the pool in the afternoon. We had light rain but still warm and nice for the kids . Then 1 heavy shower for 10mins. You could see Naples and further down to Marco looked terrible from Fort Myers Pier about 5pm . Hope it improves over next few weeks head up to Orlando today

Todays update...
The tropical wave has broken down over the weekend, it'll push on as a weather front through the carribbean sea carrying rain but no wind pickup Nothing detected for next 5 days, this can change so i'll keep an eye on this and update when anything shows.

One to watch, nothing to worry about at the moment, the reason to keep an eye is that it's expected to turn back towards the US.
Introduing TS Chantal: 5 day predicted route from US Hurricane Center: As i say, one to watch but not to worry about at this time - there's a good possibility that as this one turns it could break up and head into the Atlantic as a dose of autumn storms.

Morning USA/Lunchtime UK update brings some changes:
Chantal not predicting to breakup into a tropical depression in the atlantic, this can change but most likely will push out. We have a new system to note...

Chantal dropped to a depression on the latest update so unlikely to come to anything unless it's pulled back towards the USA with a weather system which isn't likely.
Weather system still building over the bahamas which has a low chance of development, would likely bring some unsettled weather to Florida
