Wow, this TS escalated quickly, when I looked yesterday it wasn’t supposed to get stronger than a TS, now it could be a major hurricane 😱

Orlando Airport have put their latest Tropical Storm Dorian Statement pinned at the top of their Facebook page. Nothing out of the ordinary basically - 8 flights cancelled to/from Puerto Rico, as the storm approaches to prepare for the storm and will update their social media accounts accordingly. They advise passengers to contact individual airlines for specific flight information.

Here now and yes they are saying it could be hitting florida as a category 3 hurricane, this is a big jump from a TS that needed watching 24 hours ago. The issue with the location is that it is being pushed west by high pressure so unlikely (though not impossible) that it will head out to sea. It is due here on Monday so hopefully saturday and sunday flights will all be ok for you all.

Watching with interest and hope no dibbers are affected by this... we fly 12th September so I'm wondering if there will be a succession of storms to follow this one...

I fly Monday, if it hits Monday - not sure what Virgin will do, as so far they're only offering rebookings for Sat/Sun, Cant really rebook as i have taxis to gatwick booked, holidays off work etc, son goes back to uni when we return, dates were kind of limited for us. I hope it blows out to sea
