I’m due to fly home Wednesday and have heard nothing from BA. Problem is the storms is now due in the Orlando area from Tues to Weds evening. Tropical storms conditions with winds up to 57mph. How do you land a jumbo in that?

Our BA flight is due to leave 5:35pm and showing delayed until 6pm atm. The incoming flight has just landed so I think we’ll be getting out as they won’t keep the plane here.
fingers crossed you get away okay .

This is Virgin latest update, although for some reason it’s still called Update 4 it’s very different from the previous version and states the airport is closing tomorrow Tuesday

I feel for everyone on these flights so much, after so much planning and excitement it’s so disappointing. I’m sure once you’re out there it’ll start to look up and you’ll enjoy anyways ... hope you’re ok!

We’ve heard nothing either about our Wednesday flight but I’m trying to change flight as per their handy message in their website they haven’t bothered to email to anyone!
So now I’m on hold missing the last of the sun!

Just to add, for those flying with BA, they were responding to private twitter messages but you need to supply as follows:

Hi, Alison. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. We'll need to know your full name and booking reference so that we can take a look at this for you. To make sure we're speaking to the right person, can you also confirm 2 of the following:
•Passport number and expiry date (if in the booking)
•The last 4 digits of the payment card
•Billing address, including postcode
•Email address
If you've booked through an agency, we'll also need to know which agency you booked through, along with their contact details. We can take a longer for you. NeiL

Flights are being cancelled due to the fact the airport has announced a shut down

Dorian's track forces ceasing of operations at MCO on Tuesday, September 3.

You do not that is why MCO is closed tomorrow, I suspect they will keep a close eye on the winds and then decide if they open Wednsday or stay closed.
