Iphone 11 vs Compact

I was thinking of getting the Vloggers Fav camera, the Canon GX7 Mk II but getting my new iPhone 11 and reading some of the comparisons of the video (mainly) on the iPhone vs the Canon, they give the nod to the iPhone.

Be interested to hear peoples thoughts.

I consider myself to be a good photographer (Graphic Designer by profession) so i'm around photography all day long!

I have a Panny TZ60 but it struggles to focus in the dark.

It mainly comes down to zoom these days. Phones only have digital zoom so only enhance the same picture. Cameras have optical zoom so you get a true zoom.
Of course cameras have all the bolt on lens, but im assuming your not interested in those.

Thats true, maybe should have bought an iPhone 11 Pro!

I also have a Panny G3 with 2 lenses but I'm getting lazy these days
Ive got until Nov so may do some side by side tests and see what I'm happiest with. Might be I stick with the TZ60 for stills and iPhone for video.
