Mobile Would a Ford Escape be big enough

There will be four adults with a cabin size case and a back pack each (We are travelling economy light with cabin bags only) We may also buy a cooler for food and drink.
After the Escape it's the Explorer, but I'm not sure we need this. We'll be using the car to drive to the Keys and surrounding area so doing a few longer drives.

If you are driving to the Keys do your passengers a favour and get the Explorer, that's 000s of miles.

The second half of our holiday is at Homestead between Miami and the Keys. We wiĺl be driving there , and then exploring the Keys etc over a few days. Shouldn't be in the car for journeys more than 4 hours max.
My brother lives in the US and is picking up a car at the airport before he joins us. He asked about the car and our luggage. Don't want him to pay a lot extra for space we don't really need

We have a kuga, I can fit 4 large cases and 3 cabin cases into the boot, my son is 6 ft and comfortably fits in the back so you should be fine.

We are all fairly small adults, me at 5ft 2 and the guys no more than 5ft 8 😁

You should be fine then! If you were unsure, the difference will only be around £7-£8 per day, plus a little more for fuel.

That's not much, as it's only for 8 days. I'll leave it up to my brother, I suspect he might go for the larger car 😀
