If it's a diesel maybe an issue with filters due to nature of the fuel.
If petrol other than oil change all filters and maybe an aircon recharge wouldn't worry.
Would take for a blast however when purchased.

so yeah, low mileage isnt generally a sign of having the speedo fiddled with, some of us just don't use our cars that much! is speedo tampering still a thing? i would have thought modern cars with digital displays kinda make it harder to tamper with?

Wasn’t worried about the tampering, was more thinking maybe it has had loads of problems and been stuck in a garage on and off for 6+ months 😊

I’ll check it out at the weekend.

I don’t think anybody that needs to use a car regularly would leave it in a garage for six months if there were problems. The low mileage would definitely tell me low usage by choice.

It is a diesel and an estate - which is what sparked my concerns as they are usually bought to be a workhorse 😊

I meant in a garage getting fixed because it had problems..

Maybe I’m just overthinking 😊

My last 3 cars have been ex motorbility cars I've bought when they're 3 years old. All very low mileage, my current one only had £3400 when I collected it. No issues with any of them at all, I'm looking for another one now.

We do very little mileage. Dh commutes to work on the train and I walk to work. The oldest 2 get a bus to school and youngest walks. We only use the car for taxiing the kids about and visiting family (2 hours drive away).
