Agreed. Surely it took longer to snap up than making a quick call

And just as a p.s to mine I probably wouldn’t have noticed to be honest. In a restaurant I never check the bill unless it seems more expensive than I was expecting and I might scan down the bill but generally I don’t look I just always trust them to get it right - it was only because we had the problem with them on New year and they said they would not charge us for it that we checked.

Kept quite. The way I think about it is that these things even themselves out. I know I've been overcharged a number of times but not realised until it was too late

I told the driver and he shrugged. The skip was right there so I unwrapped the lengths and shot them straight in. Along with all the other stuff I was slinging.

I know how they work. Sometimes they catch you sometimes they don’t. It’s a stocktaking game!

Took me under 5 seconds. Plaster board coving is brittle!

A phone call would have only taken you a minute or two. Somebody will lose money and the loss is usually passed on to the consumer one way or another!

I did say I told the driver. All down to the Yardman. I have a lifetime of dealing with Builders Merchants and they won’t come out in a Hiab to collect stuff that’s surplus.

It’s not that I don’t care full stop.
I meant I don’t care if people think I am mean .

Maybe if I had been in a different town at a Brewers Fayre attached to a PI my response would have been different but I don’t think so, a few years back at Disney’s Yacht Club they forgot to charge us for a round of drinks at the bar, DH went and told them, again the CM was very grateful and thanked us profusely x
Ironically I was surprised that so many had say that would tell , and even though I didn’t mention it , the first explanation I came up with in my head was because people had a conscience exactly because it was a family run outfit

It would have gone on eBay for me too. Though I think seeing as Tom told the delivery driver , he had no further reason to have to ring them

I’d feel worse that it was an independent restaurant but still not sure that I’d say anything...
I don’t think it’s stealing when a business tells you the price they are charging you for all you have had , then you pay what they have asked for.
