Spaceship earth

Making final plans to book Fast passes - can anyone tell me their experiences of Spaceship Earth over in Epcot? I've watched vids on You tube but it doesn't give me a great idea of what it feels like. I've read a review somewhere that it gave someone vertigo for 3 days and caused sickness.

I find it tame and pretty slow. Not sure why someone would have vertigo unless they mean Mission Space maybe?

It's one of my all time favourites but thats due to nostalgia, rather than exciting ride.

Sure you're not mixing it up with Mission Space?

Spaceship Earth is a very tame ride whereas Mission Space Orange is definitely a candidate to make you ill.

I dont do ANY thrill rides at all, or anything approaching rides that jolt me around. Not interested in it.

So, spaceship earth is fine for me. It's a slow moving ride with perhaps two main FAIRLY gradual slopes one at the beginning and one at the end. Remember, very very slow.

The middle bit is just a slow ride through a series of scenes in the near dark.

Obviously we're all different but I've never ever had a problem with spaceship earth whereas for example I can't ride Soarin without being dizzy and sick.

Haven't been to EPCOT since around 2009 but we rode Spaceship Earth maybe 20+ times before that. After Carousel of Progress I'd say it was the slowest ride in the whole of WDW unless it's changed beyond recognition

No more than walking pace you basically climb with the cars reclined facing forward then when you reach the top the cars spin and you return in reverse, again with the car back reclined. Conducive for a quick kip if you feel like it.

As the OPs have said you might be confusing it with Mission Space.

Anything that can accommodate an old man in a wheelchair and a tiny baby won't give you vertigo.
Mission space however, will

Yes I think you have it mixed up with Mission: Space. Spaceship Earth is a slow moving ride. Mission: Space has two sections, green and orange. Green is less intense and doesn’t give me motion sickness. When we first rode it there was only the more intense version and it made a couple of my party feel pretty bad for a while after.

Thanks everyone.

Off to YouTube that now - unlikely I'll go on that though.

Mission Space... Is a ride which made me feel sick for an hour... i went green... full breakfast plus coffee and first ride of day is not a good combo.
