I can't help but you really should see a GP as soon as possible if it's been going on that long.

I can get headaches when I'm dehydrated and if yours clear up as the day goes on it could be you're waking very dehydrated. The recent hot weather may also be making you sweat more during the night so you could be losing a lot of fluids. However I'd get advice from your GP as its been going on for 6 months which is quite a long time.

My first thought was also dehydration and agree I’d get it checked out if it’s prolonged.

Could also be grinding your teeth in your sleep, you can get mouth guards to help, might be worth trying.

I know someone who gets migraines if he sleeps too long. But dehydration could be your issue. Go to get proper advice from your GP.

Getting Excited

Hi, I get a headache off I haven't got fresh air in the room, ie, window open. If your room is too hot and stuffy then maybe that's it. I just slept in an air-conditioned room with no way to open the window and my head was pounding
It's definitely worth visiting your GP if things don't improve x

Does the headache wake you during the early hours of the morning? A new type of migraine has been defined and it starts while people are asleep.
I think you should definitely see your GP to have it investigated. I wouldn’t wait any longer. |

I sometimes wake up with headaches when my BP is high. It’s been going on too long. As others poster said, you need to see your GP for proper advice. All the best. X
