Thunderstorm

We are in a caravan in Keswick and last night’s thunder and lightning was incredible! Far worse than we’d ever experienced before - even in Florida! The rumbles of thunder lasted so long and the flashes of lightning were like a photographer’s flash going off constantly! It lasted from about 11 - 3am. Been a glorious day since that, though very muggy tonight. Could do with some of the Florida style air con 🥵

We’re in South Manchester and got some lightning going on right now. Need more sleep than I got last night but not looking hopeful so far.

The sky is flashing with lightening here in the north west , very distant sound of thunder. I wish it would hurry up and do a proper storm

Wow, I've never known anything like the storm currently raging over us in Stockport. My DH is fast asleep, blissfully unaware!

We've been flooded in Fife. A foot of water just appeared in the back garden after an hour of constant lightning and rain. Then it made it's way into the kitchen...which was just refitted 5 days ago. Not happy. I expect a lot of damage across central and eastern Scotland as we wake up over the next few hours. I have never ever seen anything the violent weather here over the last 3 hours. I've been bailing out water since 11pm

I hope you don’t have too much damage. We are in Central Scotland and I’ve never known a storm like this.

Hope there's not too much damage. We're just west of Dunfermline and there's some of our roads flooded. Power keeps going off etc. Storm was an experience last night.

Here in Lanarkshire a few really pound bangs and flashes but hardly any rain
DH snored his way through it me and the dogs didn’t

Oh no sorry to read this, watching news some places have had it so bad and says its still thundering in Scotland?
We went to bed around 11pm and there was lightening in the clouds, very strange we stood watching it for ages whilst letting dogs out, no thunder, no rumbles in the distance etc etc, I'd not really seen it before like that. We had a thunderstorm in South Yorkshire about 2.30am our little terrier was a nervous wreck bless him, it didn't clear the air it was a proper florid a storm, thunder and lightening at the same time and biblical rain but lasted about 20 minutes at most, certainly didn't clear the air, only benefit I haven't had to water my pot plants in garden this morning
