Helen

Burdines was only a Florida wide chain and taken over by Macy's about 15 years ago.

Helen there was certainly one at the Florida Mall. Whether it actually became Macys I'm not sure but there has been quite a few changes with the anchor stores over the years

Not shocked to be honest; they had a store in every indoor mall, outdoor mall, plaza, outlet etc; almost anywhere that had shops had a B & B W, even in the malls that have been struggling for years.
I think they had saturated the market with stores.

Sounds like Orlando Fashion Square Mall. It was one of the original malls in Orlando and has been struggling for years. I was actually in it a few months ago while my daughter's wheelchair was repaired. It was almost completely deserted and felt very strange. They have plans to tear it down and redevelop the site sj hardly surprising the JC Penny is closing.
