I have emailed him tonight a couple of extracts of the court papers citing him and his wife as they are the owners

Also told him I was reporting him for still renting out his villa with no licence

No communication received from him since 27/2 so obviously ignoring me now hoping it will go away

Just received an email from him...

No comment regarding my court action, unpaid taxes or unlicensed villa...

Just repeated what he said in an earlier email - loss of deposit and would only refund the remaining money once they had secured another booking

Seeing as he has wasted 3 weeks since my notification of my cancelling I can’t see how they will fulfill those dates for 5 weeks time

Definitely filing court papers now - I would rather take my chance with the Sherriff Court as he obviously has no intention of refunding me any money

I would be tempted to claim for your deposit as well because he hasn’t paid his taxes in three years and doesn’t currently have a license to rent his villa out. This means that he wasn’t entitled to take any money from you in the first place.
