Error Message when trying to amend Alamo booking

Hi - has anyone tried to amend their Alamo booking recently. I booked through Alamo UK (10% off and free extra driver).

When I try to amend either the car or time, i get a red message at the top of the page 'We've encountered an issue, please check your selections and try again'

It doesn't matter if I use my laptop of phone - still the same message.

I was wondering if this was another glitch.

just for the heads up, there is no such thing as amending an alamo booking
I mean, they will still take the full amount of your "new" rental from your CC, then credit back the "old" amount. They will not just push the transaction for the price difference

so check if you have cancellation fees (you should not if booked direct and are more than a week out)
make a new booking, then cancel the previous one

or wait for their system to stop playing up

In the end I messaged Alamo who quickly replied and said I can�t amend a booking that was prepaid! Either they have changed their system or don�t know what they are talking about as I had already amended this booking once!

In the end I cancelled and rebooked - not a big problem, but it just means you have to enter all the details from scratch.
