ADR Day

As my ADR day is a Tuesday, should I book the day off from work?

For my previous trip, our ADR day has always been on a weekend, but this year we are flying on a Sunday.

I have planned to book them from work (during an early lunch, I have put myself in for a meeting at 11am ), but not sure now.

Thanks in advance.

Personally, yes I would be off especially with MDE playing up in the last few days.

This for most, is an integral part, of a holiday costing a packet.

Seems like a huge waste of an annual leave day to me. The overwhelming majority of restaurants will be readily bookable in the evening that day and for weeks, even months afterwards. There is only one I would feel I need to try for as soon as possible and that is California Grill brunch.

I do nevertheless like to book at 11am, I just know it isn’t actually necessary. Blocking your calendar for a “meeting” at 11am seems like an excellent idea.

I would not bother to have a day off just for ADR's unless you must have a particular restaurant only at a certain day and time.

I personally wouldn’t. I booked all mine recently and found it easiest to book them on the app on my phone. I think there are a few things that should be booked as priority, for me that was 8am breakfasts at be our guest and garden grill. I’m sure there are some other top priority ones but I reckon the rest could be done when you get home or on a break.

One way to check is to look on the website now as to what availability is like for the restaurants you want at 170-180 days form now so you can see how popular they are.

Thank you all for your advice.

I have booked the day off at present, but will monitor the current issues people are having with booking ADRs and will make my mind up closer to the time.

My day was today. I'm on QS dining plan, so i didn't need to grab much. I got BOG for 14 people on our 2nd day with no issues. Loads of availability. Oga's Cantina for our 3rd day for 14 people.
There was no availability for CRT for any day, at any time online, so i called at around 12.30am and there was plenty. I got 8am for 5 people on our first morning.
My point is that there seems to be plenty of availability for the best times at the most popular places.
