I don't think you are being mean at all. My daughter is paying for hers. We gave her the option of paying us straight away or having less in her allowance next month. She also got a lecture from the repair guy about how she needs to stop putting it in the back pocket of her jeans as he said that it has started to bend as a result of her doing that.

DD and DH have just returned from a lady who does screen repairs. Hers is a 6plus she cracked the screen and top bit. Fixed and sorted for £50 (DD paid). Def something in the water 😀
