Downgrading From A 2 Bed To 1 Bed At OKW
Hi All,
Booked to go back to WDW OKW in 34 days last year during the free dining promotion. 5 of us going, myself, my wife, her parents and her aunt. Sadly, my mum has had some terrible news and as a result, myself and my wife are having to cancel. My wifes parents and her aunt are still going. However, we want to be able to get back as much money as possible from our trip. Can we get a refund on our park tickets? Could we downgrade them from a two bedroom to one bed at OKW? Does anyone know the money back we might recieve upon doing so? Thanks in advance! |

Did you book directly with Disney?
I believe it’s in their terms & conditions this close to travelling no refunds- Maybe there’s something they could do for next year? Or alternatively try to claim from your insurance? |

I did book directly with Disney yes.
This is a weird kind of cancellation that's not really covered in the terms and conditions from what I've read. Insurance is covering a maximum of £1,000 per person for cancellation which we're using for the flights - and the rest of Disney if we can't get it. The whole holiday has cost us around £4,000 so to get £1700 (£2,000 on insurance less £150 excess each) would be devastating. Clearly didn't plan the insurance right |

I would be just about certain that Disney will not be required to refund you anything, but you might as well call and see if they will do anything for you as a gesture of goodwill.

They are possibly more likely to give a rollover credit which can be used next year. I’m sorry you’ve had to cancel.
