Mobile Swan with Virgin holidays

Hi we are staying at the swan in July and booked through Virgin holidays. Has anyone had experience trying to add the hotel to MDE? I ass use we need to add along with park tickets to get the 60 days fast pass? When I go on the app it asks for “confirmation number” which I don’t think is the same as the virgin booking ref. Any advice would be appreciated.

I spoke to Virgin this week as we are staying at the Dolphin at the end of September. Apparently Disney send through the hotel confirmation number at 63+ days and the park ticket number at 62+

I have decided to buy my park tickets direct from Disney and phone Virgin Customer Services for the hotel confirmation number on day 63. I don’t really trust them to email me the information in a timely manner.

We went to the Swan and Dolphin last year and booked through Virgin.
We had a real problem booking fastpasses 60 days out. Apparently Virgin don't class the Swalphin as a 'On site' hotel. Even though they are included in the 60 days fastpass everywhere else, Virgin told me they have their own deal with the Swalphin where guests don't have to pay the resort fee ($28 dollars a day) and get free parking ($23 dollars a day).

At 60 days I was expecting my window to open but it didn't . I had phone calls and emails flying around but they wouldn't have it, kept telling me the 60 days doesn't come with their bookings because of the resort fee and parking fee perks.

I contemplated canceling as 60 days was a major reason for booking. I searched online and found a way around it, from other people who had the same issue. I cancelled my park tickets with Virgin and booked them direct with Disney. I linked my tickets to my booking and magically the fast passes opened up.

This was May last year so things may have changed since then but if you get the same issues I had then I hope this helps anyone else.

Interesting! Fortunately I didn’t book tickets through virgin but one of the uk ticket sites. Did you manage to link it all up on MDE? I assume you need the hotel showing to get it to link for fast passes?

Because we were already at day 60 when I found out the issue, I rebooked my park tickets direct with Disney and then I called them up and ask if they could link them for me so I knew it had been done correctly for me.

My hotel booking was already showing on my MDE account so that wasn't an issue, it was just that Virgin wouldn't give me my park tickets number so I could link them to book fast passes.

So as soon as my tickets were linked then MDE recognised the Swalfin Hotel as a 60 day fastpass hotel and my window opened up.

I think the Virgin confirmation number was what was needed to link the hotel to MDE.
If youre struggling, give Disney a call direct. They are super helpful and linked everything up for me within minutes.
