Best Grocery Store Close to our Hotel
Good morning,
We are staying at the Hawthorn Suites for the 2nd week of our holiday and we need to get some supplies. Looking at Google Maps, I can see that Winn-Dixie, Ka Supermarket and Goodings are a short Uber ride away. Publix Super Market is a bit further afield. Having never been to any of them, can anyone recommend which is the best one to go to (I guess I'm looking for the biggest which will have the most selection)? Thanks |

I haven't been to the Ka supermarket, I would avoid Holdings in the Crossroads complex unless you are going to a restaurant nearby and it's mega convenient. I find it run down, limited and expensive. Publix, near to Vineland Outlets is fine .Consider it pricey but to be honest I find most US supermarkets expensive possibly because I mainly shop in Lidl at home. My preference would be for Winn Dixie, closer to normal prices , liquor store next door and steak and shake very close by. Some of their special offers used to require a special card which they would post out to the UK if you applied.I don't know if that is still the case.

If you go to Winn Dixie sign up to their loyalty card and they often have offers either money off or buy one get one free etc.

At Winn Dixie you can just ask at the checkout for them to apply the store card for the discount.
It's easier if you'll only be there a couple of times than applying for your own card. Sometimes once they've heard your accent they'll apply the discount before you ask. Make sure you get the reduction though because some of the price differences are pretty big. You |

If you have a car there is a walmart about a 10 min drive at the top of Turkey Lake Road. We stayed at Hawthorn Suites about 7 years ago and loved it there. Turn left out of the suites and keep driving, the walmart is on your left
