Lets just continue to keep all this under the radar from the average punter shall we? Otherwise everyone would be at it.
Really? Do the algorithms give preference when in park? Thats great to know! Were offsite and this is top of the list for rides so Ill give this a go if I cant get anything

Yeah, I don't really believe it, tbh. Would you need to have your GPS switched on for the app to know you're in the park?

I find it hard to accept as well. I don't see why disney would care if you are in or out of the park

I always advice people to do FOP as a ropedrop. Arrive at the turnstiles around 7.30 and go with the flow. We were of the attraction at 9.10 and went on Navi river just after that wit a waiting time of 20 min. That way we had 3 fastpasses for other attractions and no hassle to keep on trying to catch the FOP fastpass. I liked how it went last July and im planning to do it the same way in July 2020.

I dont really get the benefit in rope dropping it. It still took an hour and forty minutes to get on the ride. Am I missing something?

Me too - you're still queuing for ages, just that it's before park time! A far better option is to join the queue a few minutes before park close - you can usually do it in an hour tops.

That's what we'll be doing if we can't FP it next month, all the ride times are way over estimated times when it's close to park closing.

Exactly, that's what I do too - waited 40 mins to 1 hour max.

I wouldnt want to queue for 1hr 40 minutes at any time of day, a pre park opening wait is still a wait. I will stick to my strategy of getting fast passes for it.
