Eurostar Oct half-term

I'm wondering if loads of people had booked transport with agents, like Disney, Magic Breaks, etc. They get merchant early release availability. Though Magic Breaks offer them for ridiculous prices when looking online early.

Either that or people just called super early and got the cheapest seats possible?

Sucks though. We paid under £300 for 2 adults and 1 child for Eurostar in August. I booked them through Magic Breaks over the phone just before they went on sale online. X

How far in advance do they go on sale both online and over the phone? Thanks

They’ve literally just come online. That’s why I’m surprised at the price already.

Thanks. I’m waiting for Nov dates, not term time so hoping to get £38 each way

I usually ring a couple of days before they show up online. By the time they go online the cheap tickets have usually sold out.

Other options - change at Lille (very easy) or get Eurostar to Gare du Nord and then the RER. Not difficult, and gives you a chance to get there earlier. More cheap trains available too.

I totally agree, but if it's a busy time (it really is) people might have gone ahead and booked their transport with their agent, and therefore the allocation of 'cheap' seats is already used up before they even hit the internet. In August I think the cheapest I saw on their website was £60 each way. I don't know if that's the cheapest option in the summer holidays, or people just got in there really quickly.

I took a look at the website and it says if you book by phone they add a £10 charge. Sometimes it might not be worth it. I've never done it that way, though. X
