Mobile Insurance covering terrorism

I was just looking at my insurance policy and it mentions that acts of terrorism are excluded from the insurance. Are all policies the same or do some cover you if you get caught up in a terrorist attack? Not worrying too much but Trump does like to stir up trouble and it has made me wonder about things. TIA

Most policies will exclude things like terrorism, riots, often acts of god, nuclear fallout etc.

I don't think anyone covers these things as standard, you may be able to do it as an add on ... for a fee .
I know you can add on for certain "acts of god" such as the volcano erupting in Iceland which delayed or cancelled all flights a few years ago.

I didn’t add on anything to my insurance and it paid out when my holiday was cancelled due to the volcano. There wasn’t a lot to cover as the airline rebooked the flight straight away. But I got taxis to and from Heathrow and a night including dinner at the Sofitel paid for by insurance.

Cancellation is totally different to claiming while stuck abroad.
Since the volcano, most insurance companies have made that cover an add-on. Even still you should be covered if your holiday is cancelled before you fly.

Thank you for your replies. I kind of guessed the answer would be that none cover it. Although the chances of getting caught up in anything is very slight I’m just trying to imagine trying to pay a medical bill in the US if anything like an act of god or terrorist attack were to happen and we got caught up in it.

I would be aaking the insurance company to prove God exists if they denied an insurance claim by saying its an act of god...
