Last night and somebody has hit the car...

Last night here and returning to the car park in Universal and see a dent and paint damage on the passenger side. Car beside me gone and nobody about. Am I liable for any payments to Alamo? Hired from Andy at DFcH and took cdw with zero excess, whatever that means ! Anxious about getting a rollicking when I return the car tomorrow...

Hi. It's a rental car I know but it's so annoying when that happens. Some people just don't care.

However, nothing for you to be concerned about, it's not an 'accident' whereby a Police report is required and nobody will even bat an eyelid in the garage.
It's a matter for you if you wish to point it out to the garage Guys. I would but you don't actually have to.

Nothing to pay and no forms to fill in. The beauty of an all inclusive no excess Insurance package that most of us have.

As said above, I think I would report it to the garage as I would have thought Universal will have cctv

Same happened to us at the Grand Plaza in May - they saw it at Sanford but never said anything, so I wouldn't worry too much. Interesting to note that Grand Plaza had no cctv in the upper car park (where we had parked), but they did in the underground car park (which I didn't know was there!)

When our car was hit by a truck in a restaurant car park we took it back to Alamo and were given a new car. Never heard anymore about it.

Got an e-mail this morning from Alamo asking me to complete a Damage Report stencil and send it back to them. I had the CDW etc, so do I need to complete the stencil?

I would say yes, I presume it is so they can get the car repaired through there insurance.
Even though you had the CDW they will still have to claim and declare how the damage was done.

Alamo is self insured.

but they'll probably want to gather evidence, in the hope of identifying the driver who damaged the car.

but, since we know nothing of the type of form and the questions on that stencil, it's hard to tell.
