Newcastle Airport pick ups

North East ratings , what’s the routine for picking up passengers from Newcastle? Is it similar to others I.e. pick up point with a short term charge?

There is a drop-off/pick-up point right outside the terminal. It's quite expensive at £3 for 10 mins. Above that the price increases.

Short Stay 2 is free for 15 minutes but is a about a 5 minute walk from the terminal.

Many people wait in the lay-bys on the road towards the airport (A696) beforehand.
