Being picky here The Grand is in St. Annes-on-Sea. It's a five minute walk from me.

We stayed in the Boulevard Hotel last year and would highly recommend it. The rooms were extremely comfortable and its right next to the Pleasure Beach. All the staff were attentive and it had a quiet and relaxed feel. We stayed in the summer just when things started to reopen and it was very covid secure.

I think people tend to just call that area Lytham for ease. My in laws used to actually live in St Annes but we always said we were going to Lytham rather than say Lytham St Annes.

There is Lytham, bits in between and St. Annes-on-Sea and we are all Lytham St Annes just to confuse everyone

Lola's Reviews
Hotel Reviews: 1
Just to add to the confusion. Going North to South there is Blackpool, St Anne’s on Sea, Ansdell with Fairhaven then Lytham.
Would recommend the Grand at Lytham but pricy. De Vere and Ribby Hall both further from the centre of Blackpool and I would favour South rather than the town centre any day. Hotels in the South have the new Hampton Inn, the Big Blue both near the Pleasure Beach.

The Grand is at St. Annes though

You could go self catering, with a 3 bedroom caravan at Haven Marton Mere. I think it's around 4 miles from the pleasure beach, and it's beside a nature reserve.

Both De Vere (Village) & Ribby Hall have swimming pools which might be worth considering. Plus both have nice walks around them - if you’re lucky the Village walk will include seeing the lions from the zoo next door.

Ribby Hall is a 10/15 minute drive to Central Blackpool but The Village is 5 mins to Central or South Shore where the Pleasure Beach is. There are a few others, The Boulevard & Big Blue are part of The Pleasure Beach & Hampton by Hilton is close by. There’s also No1 South Prom which is an outstanding boutique hotel.

Grand gets good reports but personally wouldn’t go north side of the town.

Must say whilst I’ve been in all of these hotels I’ve never stayed in any of them (live in Blackpool)
