Paying extra to heat pool.
Hi all, we are going in mid October for 2 weeks and have an option to pay extra to heat the pool. Would it need to be heated at this time of year?

i would say yes.
When we were in Orlando back in November 2018, the pool pump failed meaning we had no pool heat for 3 days - you really notice the difference between a heated pool and one without it to the point kids didn't want to go in. The weather was above 25 degrees on average each but the pool didn't hold the heat at night. |

I would.
For me I like going in the pool late on when back from the parks. Sometimes the early mornings and nights can be cool. |

I wouldn't. We had it in october last year and the pool was unpleasantly warm.
I do like a nice cool pool though so I suppose it depends on your preferences. |

I think it really does depend on preference. It's amazing how different we feel pool temperature.
I love a warm pool and found the unheated pool in August too cold. I also found the heated pool in may and November too cold 🙀

We always have pool heating for our October trips. Can't beat getting in a warm pool after a hard day in the parks. 😉

Yes, for me definitely needs heating, one year in October we didn't bother and we couldn't use it, it was just too cold.

When you say "we", have you got little kids in your party?
It'll be a chunky cost for 2 weeks, so what you could do is ask if it would be possible to get it turned on during the trip. You might have to pay a call-out fee and it'll probably take a couple of days to warm up. Having said all that, we were in a villa for a week at the beginning of August and paid for heating as we had little grandchildren with us. DW and I had a villa end of Sept a couple of years ago without heating - it was OK for adults swimming but too cold for just splashing around. |
