Pre paid money card
we usually just take cash (silly but like it that way) and cc for emergencies . This year we are stopping off in nyc for a few nights and do not want to take a large sum of money!
Can anyone recommend which pre paid card is the best ? Once in Orlando we will probably withdraw the cash or some of it. Many thanks. |

I always used to be a cash or traveller cheque person, but for our last trip I got the revolut card as the interest rates were so good. I absolutely love it, so easy to use. The app is easy to download and understand. Card arrives very quick and easy to get it set up. I topped it up then exchanged when the rate was good. You can turn the card off on the app, so gives you peace of mind in case off loss. You get immediately notification of transactions and a daily update of what you spend, so easy to keep track. I love it so much I still use it for all my contactless transactions in UK. All my family have been pursuaded to get one too

I've always used FairFX and never had any issues. Last year I stupidly managed to forget my pin and they were excellent at getting me access.
Never experienced any others as I have never felt the need to change. |

We take the post office travel money card. Never had a problem with it. (Except my own stupidity one year where I forgot to take my pin, arrived in the USA and had to wait until next day to phone my neighbour, who for the first time had my key while we were away, and get her to go find my paperwork). Luckily now on the app you can retrieve your pin.
