Bit of a shock yesterday

Heard a knock on the front door. I was expecting a parcel so opened the door and stepped back. There was a guy stood on my step who just said "hello" and walked straight into my hall.
The dogs went crazy barking at him as I panicked and pushed him back through the door.
I don't know who was more shocked, him or me. It turns out he was a workman going to my neighbours house and had got the wrong house. He was mortified and couldn't apologise enough. I shoved him that hard I nearly knocked him flying down the drive.

I've had the same thing happen to me twice recently.

There was a knock at half 7 in the morning and I'm still in my pyjamas. A women with a van is at my door and she just walks in and goes into my livingroom. I'm like, excuse me what the hell are you doing in my house. She says to collect a sofa and I tell her she has the wrong house. Dont people wait to be invited in anymore! And she wasn't wearing a mask either! And said a half hearted sorry, she was meant to be three doors down.

We live on a new build development and had the painter around and he finished. Then he just walked back through the door a couple of hours later, he was supposed to go next door 🤣. He is very old bless him, he was really confused!

He wasn't wearing a mask either, and now i am slightly stressing that i was in close contact, even though it was probably only for a second or two.

Did the same thing on my first day of my second year at uni. My grandparents dropped me off and I got the house number wrong. Thought the woman in the door was the landlady when she opened the door. I stepped in and she said what the hell are you doing. I said I live here to which she responded no you bloody don't.

Then clocked I was 30 doors away. I had to walk down the road and not get in the car as I was so flustered.
