Mobile Opinions please

Good Afternoon,

We have been pricing up a trip to DLP for next year, but I can't decide which hotel.

Having never been to DLP before, I have nothing to base this on so I was hoping for some opinions from you fine folks please.

Given the choice, would you stay at the Disneyland hotel (room only) or the Newport bay club (half board)?

Having stayed at the beach club in WDW, I can't help but like the style of the Newport bay, but is the Disneyland hotel a lot nicer and worth the extra money?

Any opinions gratefully received, thank you!

Hello, we stayed at the Sequoia Lodge which was lovely but did pop into nosy around both the Newport Bay and Disneyland hotel. Both were beautifully decorated. We liked that the Sequoia and Newport bay were located around the lake so you get a pleasant walk before entering the Disney Village whereas the Disneyland hotel was right at the foot of the park. Sorry can't be more help but wish you all a magical time wherever you decide

I love the Newport Bay Hotel. It has recently been refurbished and is looking stunning.

The Disneyland Hotel is gorgeous but it's next in line for a refurbishment (after Hotel New York) so I've heard some criticisms that the rooms themselves are looking a bit 'tired'. I've not stayed there myself so can't comment however.

I personally like staying in the hotels around the lake as I love the walk through the village in the morning.

Disneyland Hotel is right at the entrance to the park (actually it is the entrance!) which is both a major advantage or disadvantage depending on what you want.

We have stayed at the DLH and it is s fab. Y s you would not get free half board but you would get one hotel fast pass a day each.
You might want to think about Sequioa Lodge, as someone said. We like it very much. If you go concierge level (Golden Forest) you get the concierge perks and a hotel fast pass each. Even if you don't go concierge it is a great hotel.

I love Sequoia Lodge - it's the only DLP hotel I've ever stayed at, am not interested in staying in any of the others. I've never stayed in a Golden Forest room but staying in a standard or Montana room doesn't detract from my enjoyment, it's such a beautiful hotel. One of my favourite things is sitting on a chair on the decking overlooking the lake, drinking a cocktail. It's so peaceful and the view of the lake is lovely.

I've only ever stayed in Hotel New York and I loved it but I know it's closing for referb next year. We're staying in Newport Bay and it looks amazing. The Beach Club in WDW is the hotel I'd love to stay in most if I got to go back to WDW. I really want to stay in Sequia Lodge too at some point.
