Question Booking hotel & tickets with Disney - cheaper?

Hi,

Looking stay in POFQ, wondered if Disney are the cheapest to book hotel and tickets with or is it best to shop around? What are people's experiences?

Thanks

We're staying a POFQ next year and found the cheapest to be charter travel, who have booked hotel/tickets direct with Disney and flight with virgin!

If I tried to match flights to our dates I can't find anything as cheap as my quote (yet) if you can hold out for flight you may well find cheaper but I couldn't take the chance

Always worth a shop around. I was ready to hit the button with Disney and got in touch with Charter Travel - saved £500 on 2 weeks

I think it depends on personal circumstances really. I've always found disney direct prices for hotel/ticket reasonable but having said that we've booked POFQ for next year with VH in the end as I decided I wanted to book a package now so I could budget.

We worked out for us it would be £200 cheaper to do it separately with hotel/tickets direct with Disney with Thomas Cook flights but then TC require payment for the flights up front and it seemed such a long time off to be paying £2700 now! Others wait until all flights are out at 11 months before but I like to have everything sorted and know my budget from the start.

Thanks!

Thanks for the great advice everyone! Looks like it pays to shop around

Did you all book as soon as the packages were relesed or did you wait a bit?

I prefer to book direct with Disney for security and ease of making changes. I go through Quidco and get some cash back which helps.

We tend to book early on (in April or May for the following year) so that we can take advantage of the free dining plan and $200 spending money offer that they do - the offers gradually reduce during the year.

I booked pretty soon after DDP was released, wanted to wait for Thomson prices but the two week wait was to much! Lucky really as it came out more expensive
