Clearwater Hotel Recommendations

I want to squeeze in a day/night at the beach and am looking for a hotel in Clearwater. Am thinking near Pier 60 for a bit of evening entertainment and a boat trip ... any recommendations?

A DIBB friend stayed at The Hilton last year which looks like a great location - any others?

Hyatt Regency we stayed for 1 night last year lovely hotel hoping to go for a week this year.

We stayed at The Hilton which is on the beach front and right next to the pier. We only stayed a night and it was a lovely hotel. We had cocktails brought to us at the beach. We didn't eat at the hotel because we ate across the road at Crabby Bills ( sat outside, great food, great atmosphere). For breakfast we took a short walk to clear sky beach cafe which I can also recommend.

Stayed at the Hilton and sand pearl...
Like the atmosphere of the Hilton better. Plus it's right next to pier 60 and has a great tiki bar and afternoon bbq on the beach!

We have also stayed at The Hilton and The Sandpearl. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade at the Sandpearl to a gulf view suite which was lovely but I would not pay for it. The Hilton was fine no complaints

We have stayed at the Hilton, Pier 60 and the Holiday Inn further down the beach. We're returning this year to the Hilton as that was our favourite with good location, bar, pool etc. We found the Holiday Inn to far away and Pier 60s pool wasn't great.
