The antiques markets at Renningers just outside Mt Dora is on every weekend, there is another good one every 4th Saturday of the month at Arcadia, which is south or Orlando, I also like Websters market which is every Monday, it is a good local market with a massive antiques section.

Has anyone ridden on the steam train and does it run all day? Can you buy tickets on the day?

Thank you

Thanks I found that website earlier but couldn't really find the information I wanted. Found the dates and everything, but as we are coming over at Christmas the tickets are for a Christmas event. I wondered if they were the only times the train ran on that day.

They probably are, they only run the one train back and forward on a single line. Looks like the Christmas train only runs from Tavares too.

We went in feb this year to a military vehicle rally at Renningers, DH had a great time. Was a nice easy drive out there too.

We've been on it, we got a deal through Groupon, we went from Mount Dora to Tavares and back again. We literally just had an ice cream in Tavares as there wasn't really anything there but we love Mount Dora.

Another nice place is Winter Garden, they often have live music on the bandstand in the town center and lots of the little cafes also have bands.

On a Sunday the Attic Door have bottomless Mimosas's for $10 and they do a lovely chicken and avocado salad, wish I was there now
