Overnighter on gulf coast

We (my parents, me and my sister) head to Orlando next Friday for a couple of weeks. We're planning a pretty relaxing time and not bothering too much with Disney or Universal.

We fancy heading over to the gulf coast definitely for a day trip but quite fancy staying overnight somewhere.

We've been to Clearwater Beach for a day in the past and enjoyed it and thinking somewhere different.

Would appreciate any suggestions on where to head and places to stay for the night.

Try Fort Desoto, it's a fantastic place for a chilled day out.

Make a day of it by stopping at Tampa Power Station to watch the Manatees and the drive to Fort Desoto via the Skyway Bridge.

You will love it 😍
