Thanks for that, yeah they won't have transport and they're stuck with Fri to Sun days too ! I'll get her to check those hotels out, they're on a tightish budget though really, but there's 3 of them to share the cost of a room.
Are off strip hotels doable if they caught an uber to the main strip then ?

Depends where they stayed off strip , we stay about 10/15 mins by car , but I guess if you were going back and forwards a lot it would soon add up
If there are 3 of them , just be aware the rate you see advertised is for 2 adults once you add on the 3rd adult the price always rises with Vegas hotels . Weekends really are the most expensive in Vegas |

Hey, it was a cheap deal but we booked flight and hotel combined. Came to £1032 for both of us, for a week, flight via BA and hotel at the D downtown. Resort fee was extra, but was one of the lower resort fees around and included the parking and wifi so didn't mind too much.
We booked via British Airways holidays, the flights alone were coming up around £900 plus baggage fees, so to get the baggage included plus a decent hotel on the cheap I was happy.

Downtown is a good 7 miles from the main strip , definitely not walkable ? And it’s not the nicest of walks anyway )
My daughter has been to Vegas a lot and knows it well but I wouldn’t want her stopping downtown .. you either love it or hate it but it’s very different atmosphere to the strip |

Thought I'd update, they booked the Excalibur last night, it's not a bad price split between the three of them for a few nights. I'm just relieved it's in a popular area 😀, thanks all.

I have a choice to make. Six flags or Knotts Berry as cant do both. After having gone if you had to choose would it be six flags? When I looked on YouTube it looked a bit sparse whereas knotts looked more like the sort of theming we are used to.

Depends what you want. Six Flags is more like Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, Knotts Berry more Chessington without the zoo.
They are also nearly 2 hours drive apart at peak times, so depend where you are staying at the time. If North side (Santa Monica across to Hollywood) Then six flags, if south the maybe Knotts Berry. |
