We’re in California right now; had a few days in San Diego which we really enjoyed.
However, we picked up a car yesterday & drove out to the Anza-Borrego desert & stayed overnight in Borrego Springs; the desert has blown us away with it’s beauty.

San Diego for me. And that from a person who doesn’t even like built up areas.

Hermosa/ Manhattan/ Redondo area including hiring bikes and swimming in Ocean.

Relaxing day at Knotts Berry Farm after our first visit of holiday to Dennys.

Dylans' Tour of San Francisco including Sausalito and Muir Woods. Bubba Gumps at Fisherman's Wharf with Coronarita (up-ended Corona beer in Margarita).

Cayucos for beach, Duckie's clam chowder in bread bowl and fantastic cookies from Brown Butter Cookie Company. Nice place to wander.
Similarly Avila for great beach, wandering around town and Big Al's at the Beach for shaved ice.
Elephant Seal beach.

Yosemite including Valley floor tour. Pizza and beer.

Desert areas and motels at Lone Pine and 29 Palms. Visit to Joshua Tree.

San Diego as a whole. The Zoo is excellent. Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade whilst there. Mexican meal in Old Town with giant Margarita. Relaxing times in places like Coronado and La Jolla. Hot dog and a beer on the pier opposite Best Western Island Palms.

Just stopping at random places. On way to San Francisco we stopped at a Garlic themed market. Just nice to have a rest and a wander.

Ha ha!
We have just stayed in San Diego over Easter & said “Where is everyone; where are the cars; where are the people, where are the queues, why is it so quiet & empty?”.
But, we’re from London!
