If it was DDP vs paying OOP how do you feel that would stack up?
Yes I wasn't thinking you wouldn't get the discount. Ring them up and ask them to post TIW out, you have to spend 751 to make it worthwhile.

I'd struggle (in fact I wouldn't) to get DDP to pay even paying OOP full price. We don't drink much, I'm paying adult prices for kids who eat kids meals OOP, and we never order dessert. DDP can be OK if you always have dessert, buy the most expensive stuff, adults who buy alcohol every meal, eat snacks and counter service on top, kids drink the 1000 calorie milkshakes every meal and eat adult portions anyway if 10+. Otherwise you are paying a big premium to buy it, moreso as a DVC owner as you are paying in $.
Only time I'd consider DDP is deluxe plan if we had 2 studios, and buy it just for 1 and split the credits. Then you can get a good deal.
Also if it was just myself and Mrs YT, maybe, on a short stay (mugs come with it).
They really need to offer DVC owners a 20% discount on DDP to make it worth it and get more take up (I ran a poll on a Facebook group, over 600 responses, and around 25% of DVC owners bought DDP).

These are all really good points, our 2 kids will probably eat minimum or even share a meal, we did eat desert on the DDP but if it was choice we wouldn't do for the majority of meals and if we did it wouldn't be one each, at times we would also probably prefer the odd starter so thinking that it would also be cheaper on tips off the DDP. I did try the calculator and there really wasn't that much in it however OOP came out marginally cheaper.
With the amount of signatures on there I am thinking we would probably make spending the $750 to make the TIW worth it regardless so will probably try for that. If we have already paid for CRT would they apply it retrospectively?

We asked when we booked CRT and they confirmed if we get TIW ring back and they will refund the difference.

We’ve always gotten refunds for pre paid meals on the day when they give us the bill, we show them our TIW card and they refund the discount back onto the card we used to pay with
