How long from LA to Anaheim?

We’ve been quite lucky at LAX never longer than a hour for immigration , this year we flew with AA we landed at 3pm and was in the car at Avis by 4pm

Where as we flew into Chicago in November had 2 hours between flights and we almost missed the connection as immigration was ridiculously slow .

Lax is awful , takes ages , and if you’re picking up a car factor that in.
The traffic is just as bad driving down.
This year we’re flying into Las Vegas for an overnight stop , and driving down .
Lax is an awful airport we really don’t like it

We had a 3 hour layover at LAX last time we came in through there to then go on to Vegas, made the flight by about 5 minutes. Immigration took over 2.5 hours.

And we were in the middle of the queue when flights came in so hate to think how long it took for those at the back.

To balance it out a bit we have had times where we have got through in around an hour. Never had it much shorter than that though.

Best experience has been when we through through Vancouver. No requirement to pick up and drop bags for the connecting flight. Through US immigration in under 10 minutes and into a nice air side terminal for a decent meal before on to San Francisco in that instance.

Even flying out of LAX can be painful getting through security, so you go early and its one of the scummiest airports air side around. Its organically grown and really needs knocking down and starting again.
