So sorry, Florida-Sarah, I didn’t get to visit a new studio after all. Yesterday was to have been the day we asked for a viewing but sadly, there was a family bereavement and so the day went pear-shaped.

However, an air-conditioning engineer working on our studio’s system on Sunday was enthusiastically telling me how good the remodelled studios are and recommended I should ask for a viewing, which I had every intention of doing. He did confirm that it is still the 2 queen beds and no sofa bed, or any other bed in the studio.

We checked out this morning and we went to Hospitality House to see if we could manage to fix up a studio sneak peek, but it was heaving so at DH’s insistence (good to have someone to blame😉 ) we left.

We are now at Vero, and the rooms have been re-done here since our last visit and we think they are lovely, so if OKW studios are half as nice, I’ll be pleased.

Hopefully you get one. If you are DVC go on the chat (easier than waiting on phone I find and you can request an email copy) and tell them it is your honeymoon and can you please have a refurbished room. Good luck.

Is it just the 4 blocks 30-33 that are finished at the moment? Does anyone know what blocks that are working on now/next?

Buildings 53-56 were completely closed off by a barrier when we left last week, and you could see large trucks and lots of activity.

Thank you, am hoping for 54 or 55 when we go in May, so if they are refurbished that would be great. Saying that we've stayed at OKW twice before and never had our requests met.

When we stayed last year we were only given our room number (block) on arrival. We had put in a request for a certain road and were lucky enough to get what we asked for.
