OP. See what Daves is offering, the prices some rent out for on here are far too cheap. Especially bearing in mind the insane dues increase this year.

I'd agree with Tom. Whilst I am all for pushing the Dibb over others, renting on here can be a headache, so charge enough. This is because you will be contacted by a lot of people usually wanting 1 or 2 nights. Many use it as a way of getting a magic band, and rolling 60 day fast passes- nothing wrong with that because it's (judgemental post ahead ) a lot better than taking the campsite off those who can only afford that to go to Disney, but just be prepared for more work. Daves will do it in 1 or 2 reservations, you are protected with a contract, and you basically have a lot less hassle, so I would charge more than what Daves would give you for renting on here. I see them go a lot on here for £10 a point which is way too low, Daves give you a minimum of $13.50 now, and renters pay him $18 I think. Good luck.

Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated from you all.
We were talking to a different company that were confusing us with the tax return form. Sounded as if we were to just let him do it at first. Then only mentioned that it’s ourselves who have to send it. Can take up to 6 wks they said.
Checked Daves. Looks better system, if we go that way.

I rented some out with David's as a first time DVC owner.

I tried renting them out here at £13 a point. Not one taker, a couple of lowball offers. If I do put them on the DIBB again it will be for £15 a point (I have to pay to advertise them and it's more risk/hassle renting directly).

Those that are renting out at £10 and below... words fail me.

I gave up and went with David's, he charges renters $18, which is £14. Of that I get $14, which is £11. Points were rented out in a matter of hours, money in my Paypal account within 24hrs.

Daves are in Canada so do not send out the tax return forms like the US agents have to.

Thanks YorkshireT.

I did not realise that Daves did not have to send out tax forms. A family member looked into renting points out via a USA agent and got sooooo confused about the tax rigmarole that did not pursue it.

He landed up doing a points transfer to another UK DVC member but only for enough to cover the maintenance fees.
